These pages are all about the body of work I have written over the years. Inspiration comes when it does, writing, happens every day. Most everything I have ever written has been first draft. Publishing was never the point. Up until late in 2011 I never signed anything I ever wrote or created. God told me to put the little WW on the page now, and the date, so I do. I have no idea why.

There is something that happens to me when I am in the creative mode, no matter what the media. I sort of step outside of myself and connect with the Creator/Creation/ Creative force and the work simply passes through. The very best art always happens this way. Michelangelo once said that all he did was see the figure in the stone and carve away the rest. Writing is like that for me.

There are exceptions. Writing for the screen is an entirely different sort of writing. The most demanding and specific writing there is. Three plot lines running concurrently, Three acts each with a number of scenes, two plot points that occur at specific times, a catchy beginning and a touching ending and all done in precisely 120 pages. One minute of film for each page. No matter what is written in the beginning it is rarely used in the final cut and personal editing must be ruthless. My very best lines are in the trash. They simply would not work. It is always best to have a plan to begin one of these.

There was a period that God told me to make fun of everything including God and I did just that. Some of my bible stories might offend some but if read with the intention of the writer in mind, simple humor, perhaps I will be forgiven.

There was also a period that I experimented with the very dark side, writing about BDSM, cannibalism and torture. I suggest that you do not open those pages unless you have a very strong stomach, a very open mind and damn few hang-ups. I am quite serious. Don’t read those books unless you can take the very darkest things inside of human beings.

Like I said most of this is first draft though I do a spell check and some very minor editing the first time around. Please forgive my use of the language if you are anal about that. It took years for Mark Twain’s language to be understood as well.

As Rhett Butler said in Gone with the Wind: “Frankly Scarlet, I just don’t give a damn.”

Please enjoy and feel free to email me with any comments or suggestions. I love the feedback, good and bad.
